During draft season , I frequently watch youtube clips of dudes who will be available in the draft around where we pick and make a mental big board of players based only on their highlights. Super dumb way to evaluate players, but amazing way to pass time until the draft comes.

This years winner (again based strictly on 2012 highlights) is Cordarelle Patterson. This dude is tall (6'03), has reeee- diculous change of direction, and is super fast. Dont take my word for it .. Check out his 2012 highlights.

So whats the catch..The dude didn't really dominate at the college level. He was a JUCO transfer and this was the only year he played DIV I. Honestly, he looks like Dwayne Bowe physically, but cuts like Desean Jackson. But was outproduced by his teammate Justin Hunter by a wide margin.

So is there a precedent for this? I was never really on the wide receiver in the first bandwagon. I think we need interior line and safety, but this dudes size and vision in the open field looks dangerous. More, so than Keenan Allen. I'm starting to see him mentioned as the most explosive receiver (while nods are given to Tavon Austin). He is also mentioned to go in the first round multiple times. His stock will only shoot up when he destroys the combine. So is anybody interested?
