A LT is a premium

The Rams now have a big question mark at LT, watching how Jake Long was injured has to leave you wondering is Long's body on the down side of his career. Again his season ended in an injury. Not just that his leg gave out on its own, Long wasn't rolled up on, his leg basically gave out. Barksdale has played well but I've seen him get beat quite often when left on an island with no chip block. Unfortunately the Rams have had to leave TE's and rb's in to block to help the OL. IMHO top 1st round picks are used on QB,OT, WR,CB,DL. The Rams need an OT, maybe QB, hearing what Fisher has said about Bradford I don't see a QB being taken, there isn't a WR, CB, worth taking that high and just like the DL spot the Rams really don't have a need for those positions. DT would be a thought but there isn't a SUH in this draft, so now this leads me to the LT/OT position, I'm all for drafting JAKE MATTHEWS 1st you fill a position of need going into next season and fill a position that protects the most important position on the field the QB. Lets also take a look at this young mans family blood lines, the Matthews family have produced smart athletic pro bowlers and seem to have long established careers. Jake Matthews has been around the game his entire life and was home coached lol by one of the best in his father Bruce. I like the idea of trading down as much as many of you but I'm more for filling a position on this Rams team with a future pro bowler and in my a possible HOF player, yes I believe Jake Matthews is that good. The kid has great feet and technique, you rarely see him get beat on either a pass or run play, gets to the next level and locks up on LB's. his technique is so good he switched from RT to LT the next season and made the transition look easy. THE RAMS are set at DE, have young players who are emerging talents at cb, wr, Bradford returning and with a new LT to keep him upright for the rest of his Ram playing days. RAMS SHOULD SELECT JAKE MATTHEWS
