Jim Schwartz On The Hot Seat: Hello D-Coordinator

I just read on NFL.com that if the Lions do not make the playoffs then Schwartz will most likely be out of a job. The Lions would have to win their division, I believe, in order to make the playoffs. I'm thinking that they will not and that the Bears take the NFC North.

So what does this have to do with the Rams?

It is that wonderful Jeff Fisher coaching tree. Well, technically Schwartz started with Belicheck in Cleveland from 1993 to 1995, and then to Baltimore as a defensive assistant from 1996 to 1998. Then in 1999 he joined the Titans in the same capacity. He was defensive coordinator for the Titans from 2002 until 2008. If Walton is not let go immediately after the season and Schwartz is, then I'm guessing that Walton will be gone pretty soon thereafter to make room for Schwartz.

It is just speculation, but it does make a lot sense.
