Random Ramsdom, 12/13: No quitting

Thomas Campbell-USA TODAY Sports

Three games left to go, and it's no time to quit on the Rams.

The St. Louis Rams have three games left this season. Three chances to add some wins to their overall record, and one chance to get to 8-8, by winning all three games, for the first time since 2006.

James Laurinaitis says the goal now is to teach the younger players how to play, to do the basics like cutting down on penalties. More importantly he's taking these three games to teach the rookies and second-year players to stay focused and not "check out" on the season.

A trio of Rams are showing well in Pro Bowl voting. Jake Long is fifth among offensive tackles. Tavon Austin is sixth among punt returners. But Robert Quinn, a potential Defensive Player of the Year, leads the team with more than a quarter million votes, putting him third among defensive ends.

Tavon Austin is wearing a walking boot on his ankle. He missed practice on Thursday. So did Janoris Jenkins. The rookie cornerback is dealing with a back injury.

Drew Brees has played against the Rams five times in his career. He has 76 games with 300 passing yards or more. But he's never mixed the two, never topping 300 yards against the Rams. Can the Rams make it six without 300 for Brees?

"The Sam Bradford dilemma" is the biggest question the Rams have to answer in the offseason this year, says the crew at Over the Cap. Injuries, unmet expectations and a giant contract that's the legacy of the old CBA's structure for rookie contracts are things the Rams will have to consider. It gets really complicated if the Rams end up with the first overall pick in the draft this year, via Washington, and the ability to take Teddy Bridgewater.

Have the fans quit on the Rams? Randy Karraker and D'Marco Farr take to the hot takes to fill valuable air time. Give it a listen.
