Having seen photos and replays of Vernon Davis leap over JJ into the endzone, I can't understand how it is legal.
Davis leads with his cleats up at face level leaving JJ no option but to avoid tackling him. If the studs weren't there JJ could have made a legit tackle and the touchdown might not have been scored. I've included a link to a photo on NFL.com (11th of the 19)
Please someone help me understand what Janoris was supposed to have done and how this doesn't draw a flag.
On the flipside, I'm sure with the way that game went if it was a Ram jumping into the endzone it would have been flagged. Something like, Unsportsmanlike conduct, 15 yard penalty, results in turnover, 49ers win by default. Or some other bull**** anyway.
