The St. Louis Rams broke out on top 14-0, with touchdown runs by Tavon Austin and Zac Stacy. The first quarter was all Rams, and they added a red zone score by Jared Cook. But the Bears have battled back since falling behind. Matt Forte has had a stellar first half - 8 rushes for 65 yards. Stacy has been the big story for the Rams, with 87 yards on 12 attempts and a score.
Both defenses have had trouble stopping the run, so look for both to pound the ball in the second half if the score remains close. Janoris Jenkins has had his hands full with Brandon Marshall, but it's been the Bears' Martellus Bennett who's been the key receivers for Chicago, coming up with key catches when Josh McCown has needed them most.
Rams guard Chris Williams left the game with an injury, so we'll have to wait and see if he'll return. The penalties flags have been flying the entire first half, but it's been the Bears and not the Rams commiting costly errors.
Here's to a great second half!
