The run defense in a lot of the games this season has been down right awful. More recently our defense has played better against the run. Which is our "real" run defense? The one that has looked very poor in some of our games or the one that has played very respectfully in some games? Long term do you believe that our run defense is adequate or do you believe that our run defense is broke and needs to be fixed?
If you believe that long term our run defense is broke and needs to be fixed, how would you fix it? Do you believe that we lack the appropriate players/personnel to play good run defense? If so which component or components of the run defense need better personnel? If you think that we need better personnel on the DL, which position and why? If you believe we need better LBs to play better run defense, which LBs have played inadequately against the run? If you believe our secondary has not played good run defense, which players do you think have played poorly against the run?
If you believe that the problems with our run defense are related to poor coaching, who is at fault and why? Would you fire and replace any of our defensive coaches? If so who, why and with whom?
If you believe that poor execution is to blame for our poor run defense games, then who is at fault for that? Players, coaches or a combination thereof?
If you believe that we should try to fix our run defense through the draft who would like to see us draft, what round and why?
Did I fail to address any other causes or reasons why our run defense has played poorly in a lot of our games this year? If so feel free to offer other suggestions and possible solutions.
As always, thank you for your comments and contributions to this thread. Go Rams!
