Taking a bit of a different approach today looking for some key matchups for Rams fans to watch by position.
QB
For me, today might give us some separation in SEC QBs in Aaron Murray and A.J. McCarron. For the most part, Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel and LSU QB Zach Mettenberger lead the SEC QB draft board. Murray and McCarron are definitely on NFL maps though, so if you're looking for a Sam Bradford backup (though not a replacement in those two), these two games are your picks.

#1 Alabama at Mississippi St. (7:45 p.m., ESPN)
WR/CB
Still hoping the Rams add to the WR stable? This class doesn't look all that deep, but there are still some matchups worth your time.
Marqise Lee and USC have their hands full with a top quality Stanford squad tonight especially with Wayne Lyons who is turning into a strong 2015 CB prospect.
Another interesting matchup in what looks like a horrendous blowout on the cards is Penn St. WR Allen Robinson who might go face up with Purdue CB Ricardo Allen. I like Allen, but he's not surrounded by much. Don't get it twisted - I am not endorsing watching Purdue football...but if you want an NFL matchup, that's one.
Looking for some under the radar candidates? Arizona St. WR Jaelen Strong came out of the gate big time this season, but an ankle injury hampered him the last couple of weeks. It sounds like it might not be an issue anymore which could make for an interesting opportunity tonight with Oregon State's Rashaad Reynolds in the secondary.
#4 Stanford at USC (8:00 p.m., ABC)
Purdue (sorry) at Penn St. (12:00 p.m., BTN)
Oregon St. at #19 Arizona St. (9:30 p.m., Pac-12)
OT/DE
Might want to check out FSU Cameron Erving. He should handle Syracuse DE Robert Welch with ease, though Welch is no slouch.
But the easy winner here if you're into edge matchups is Stanford's OT duo of RT Cameron Fleming and LT Andrus Peat (who as a true sophomore is looking like a top prospect for next year) working against USC's 3-4 defense that includes DE George Uko and perhaps sophomore stud Leonard Williams who's dealing with a shoulder injury. Would have loved to have seen OLB Morgan Breslin in this matchup, but he's out for the year with a hip that requires surgery. And if you're taking this one on, get a look in at freshman Jabari Ruffin who's getting more PT in Breslin's absence.
Syracuse at #2 Florida St. (3:30 p.m., ABC/ESPN2 - coverage map)
#4 Stanford at USC (8:00 p.m., ABC)
Let's talk about other prospects/matchups today in the comments. What are you keying in on today?
