Can history repeats itself..again?

2012 Brought us a new hope, a new coach, a new front office and the trade. Les Snead and Jeff Fisher decided that our franchise would be best suited if we were to pass up on an electrifying franchise quarterback and stay the course with our young highly talented yet very expensive franchise quarterback and in turn trade the pick for 3 first round picks and a second round pick. The wheeling and dealing was not done there, we then turned around and traded the 6th pick to the Cowboys for their first and a second. Flash forward to 2014. We, with all probability, hold 2 of the top 15 picks in the 2014 draft and with up to 10 teams not happy about their qb situation and up to 10 possible quarterbacks with a first round draft grade the wheeling and dealings of this franchise could start all over again.

I took a glance at all the teams in the NFL that may decide that they may want to draft a qb, the Browns, Bengals, Texans, Jags, Titans, Raiders, Eagles, Vikings, Bucs, Cards. This group may or may not decide drafting a qb is a good idea, but I think we can all agree that these teams are either qb deficient or have an aging qb and should plan for the future. This year there may be a surplus of good young prospects available. Teddy Bridgewater, Tajh Boyd, Manziel, Brett Hundley,Marcus Marriotta, Kevin Hogan, Derek Carr, Zach Mettenberger, Aaron Murray and AJ McCarron. Now the list contains many underclassman who may choose to stay another year, it is very early, so who really knows. This draft class looks real heavy in big names, Sammy Watkins, Marquis Lee, Mike Evens, Jake Mathews, Taylor Lewan, CJ Mosely and some guy named Jadaveon Clowney.

I could see us trading back a few times just like we did in 2012 and stock piling picks. I do not see any realistic chance we take a quarterback, but after that, I would be happy with any other plans Les Snead have. We have several holes to fill and we could finish out our roster quite well just staying pat with the picks we have, but our Oline is getting older and there are other question marks so loading up with draft picks again wouldn't be such a bad idea either. We have had such a lack of talent for so long it is quite the miracle what Snead and company have done in such a short time, but with the gift that keeps on giving we could really be set up nicely if we pull another RG3esque trade and garner a gluttony of picks.

Its just such a hard thing to do, I mean being young and talented is great, but it doesn't equate to winning games, at the same time, we still have a long way to go before we can say we have addressed all our shortcomings on our roster, I guess this is why Stan pays Les the big bucks.
