I figured out the puzzle that is the Offense

I have been wondering what the problem was with the offense and after listening to the Jeff Fisher show the pieces to the jigsaw puzzle have come together. I thought about the last four games that the Rams have played and realized that they are playing a run heavy offense with short pass's here and there maybe a few intermediate to long throws and that's it. The problem is that's not the type of players we have everyone from the running backs to the receivers and even the QB's come from a passing spread offense so of course there not having much success. The run offense relies on two key elements one is the offense line being able to create holes big enough for the rb to run threw and the other key element is power running backs someone like SJ. The problem is that the rb's we have are not power running backs so they cannot get as much penetration as SJ nor I believe will they ever be able to not with the current OL that we have. The other problem is that it is questionable if the offensive line is capable of protecting the QB let alone creating holes they more apt to get hurt and cave in more then they are to create holes for the rb to run threw.

The problem with the run heavy offense as a whole is that it's predictable in today's league. The opposing DC's already know that Fisher will run it more then he will pass it so all they have to do is stick three to four in a box and you'll force Fisher to throw the short pass's which are easily contained. I believe that is the reason we lost the three games we did lose and I suspect that we will continue the run heavy offense against the Jaguars. The problem I have with the offensive philosophy of Fisher's is that it wastes the talents of Richards, Tavon Austin, Stedman Baily, Cook and most damning of all it wastes the talents of Bradford. I think Bradford needs to become a FA and walk away from this team or they need to trade him when his contract is up if all there going to do is have him pass the ball to whoever the RB is at the time and force him to throw short pass's like he has been doing if that's all that Fisher is going to do then he can use any QB to do that even Blaine Gabbart can do that easily. I also suspect that schotty want's to run the no huddle as evidenced in the last quarter of the AZ game but fisher is not letting him.

I think it's best to summarize it this way Fisher is running a run heavy offense with a team designed more for the no huddle spread offense and fan's are blaming the wrong people instead they need to focus on Fisher and his run heavy philosophy and realize that's why we lost the games we did lose and that's why we'll lose the majority of our games this season let me know what you think.
