We all saw how the Rams front 4 pressured Russel Wilson last year. Russell Wilson never looked quite comfortable against the rams, even at Seattle. I'm not saying that the Rams will win this game, BUT why couldn't they?
I) The Rams defense stopped the running game last week! If they could do that again this week against an even better rushing team, then we are talking!
II) The Rams special teams didn't make any penalties last week, at least I do not recall any block in the backs!
III) The Rams seem to have gotten Tavon Austin in the mix on offense a bit more. Obviously Bradford is injured, but a lot of the screen passes to Tavon and the short routes he has been running should be able to be completed by a back up qb. At least you would think that. Also, the Rams have a legitimate run game. It might not be there early monday, but if Clemens can show that he can pass a little bit, which honestly, I don't think he is very good but I think he has the arm strength to be an ordinary backup.
IV) The Rams are playing for Bradford this week. They realize that they have to step up now that there captain is gone. I'll be damned if I don't see someone at least trying to make a big play!
V) It is monday night football. Special plays happen to special teams on special days. And to my fellow heart broken rams fans, something special will happen monday night. Even if we get blown out of the water, the team will be getting better.
Bradford got injured for a reason. Maybe the reason is so the rest of the team can get their act together and realize that they are much better than they have shown us thus far.
May God be with us on national television monday night and realize we need this game more than anything in the past decade to show everyone in America that we are no longer a joke.
