Sam Bradford injury: Rams QB hurts his left knee [Updated]

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

The St. Louis Rams suffered a huge blow in the second half of Sunday's loss to Carolina when quarterback Sam Bradford left with a knee injury.

St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford left in the fourth quarter of Sunday's Week 7 loss to the Carolina Panthers with a knee injury. He was replaced by Kellen Clemens. After the game, head coach Jeff Fisher only said that Bradford had injured his left knee.

Bradford scrambled to the right sideline on second-and-10 with just over five minutes left in the game. Panthers safety Mike Mitchell pushed him out of bounds, and his knee buckled in the process. He sat on the sidelines, in pain, before he had to be carted off into the locker room.

Here's what happened on the play:

After the game, all Fisher could say was that Bradford had a left knee injury. He'll get further evaluation once the team gets back to St. Louis. Fisher has a Monday afternoon press conference, so he could have more information about Bradford at that point.

Clemens and Bradford on the only two quarterbacks on the roster. There are no signal callers on the practice squad either. The team had Austin Davis last year and through the preseason. If Bradford has to miss time, even a week, the Rams will have to hit the waiver wire to find another quarterback to backup Clemens.

[Update - 6:25PM EDT]

Bradford will undergo a MRI tonight, but things aren't looking good:
