31's Picks Week 6

Another week, another interesting week of NFL goes by.

This was another above average week for me, that makes two in a row after a pretty bad one 3 weeks back which is what I hoped for. Another week of unpredictability as some of my wins came in games that I thought were all, but locks, but what can you do. On the other hand, my upset of the week came to fruition as the Colts beat the Seahawks, which I was very happy about for obvious reasons. I know it was the biggest upset ever, but people were talking about the Seahawks like they were just out of this would crazy good, which they're not. As for the spread, well, the spread is the spread and I didn't do too well, go figure haha. Here's my results in excel form:

Week Results Straight Up Spread Rams Results Straight Up
Week 5 9-5 6-8 1-0
Overall 49-28 38-39 3-2

As I said, good day when it comes to the straight up, the Falcons kind of screwed me out of a great week, but who holds grudges.... right? As for the spread, dismal, as I said. All I can do is hope that I break even in the end and call it a day.

St. Louis Rams vs Houston Texans

I have 0 faith in Matt Schaub and if you've paid attention to any of my posts about this team you would know I have faith in Sam Bradford til death do us part... a little to much? Maybe, but anyways, when it comes down to it, the Texans have underachieved this season from what they were expected to do in the preseason, on the other hand, the St. Louis Rams should start to figure things out, at least I hope. This seems like one of those turnaround games that makes a teams season. I expect another great game from Sam and Austin Pettis continues to show why he's the number one receiver on this roster. Don't underestimate the Texans thought, we must score touchdowns to keep up, but when it comes to crunch time, call me crazy, but I trust Bradford more than Schaub.

Upset of the Week

St. Louis Rams over Houston Texans

Once again, just a feeling, but feelings have never been my strong point so, oh well.

Duh Pick of the Week

Denver Broncos over Jacksonville Jaguars

I have a few things I live by when I pick games:

1. Never pick against Peyton in the regular season

2. Never pick the Jaguars

3. Never pick Tony Romo in a critical game

So yea, how about the Peyton guy?

Iffy Pick of the Week

New England Patriots over New Orleans Saints

Once again, the Patriots are in my iffy pick section because I don't know what I'm gonna get this week. There's only three reason why I'm picking them and that's because:

1. Tom Brady

2. New England is at home

3. Gronk is back
