Paradigm shift - Isaiah Pead

I would sencerily like my fellow Rams fan to consider this theory on what personnel changes need to be made to "shift" our team into a true powerhouse in the nfl. The biggest thing that needs to occur is that we need superstar players. However, what I want you to consider is it the player that makes the superstar or is it having the right teammates and coaching staff and overall leadership. Let me start you off with one player that needed a good coach to change his course from being a bust into possibly heading toward being one of the better TE in the NFL. yes i am taliing about Lance Kendricks. Let me ask you this, if Steve Spagnolo was still here do you think we would have all been taking about Kendricks being a bust and another bad choice. if you don't think so, im sorry but you have not been watching this team over the past fews years. Lance Kendicks destiny was in the the hands of having the right coaches and thank God we had a new coaching staff to change the direction of this player. however, coaches may have got this one right but i think the other player that is in jeoordy of going down that road but doesn't have to and this player is Isaiah Pead.

in his case he will get the coaching he needs, like Kendrick's. he will hold onto the ball, hit the weight room and keep you quickness, and you cannot run sideways if you see contact in front of you. However the true talent of Mr. pead would be most revealed if the Rams make the choice to invest in the OL. For those who can remember way back when, the enormous talent of OJ Simpson was not seen in his first three seasons in the NFL! And why you ask, it was because he didn't have a good offensive line. Another example closer to home is Eric Dickserson. Eric Dickerson while playing for the Rams had THE best offensive line in the NFL an when he was traded to the Colts he simply wasent the same player and sometime latter Eric Dickerson himself regreted the decision to forcing the trade because of the OL he had with the Rams. So what i wm saying is simpke but with a lot behind it, if the Rams are really sharp, they would have drafted Pead with the thought in mind that they also have in mind they need to build the physicality of this OL in order for this draft pick to be worth it. Let alone a dominate OL makes all of the other players better.
