With the eighteenth pick in the 2013 NFL Draft the Dallas Cowboys select Kenny Vaccaro, S, Texas.

Next we address the #19 pick in the draft - The New York Giants are on the clock.

#19 New York Giants. Needs - CB, LB,RT. The defending SB champs failed to qualify for the playoffs in 2012. Inconsistent play from the offense coupled with a bad year from the defense left the Giants on the outside looking in. Eli Manning led the Giants to the 6th best scoring output in the NFL in 2012, averaging just under 27 points per game. The O-line did their part, ranking #1 in the League in sacks allowed, with only 20 on the year. The offense finished a respectable 12th in passing and 14th in rushing.

Unfortunately for the G-men, the defense was a different story. 28th against the pass, 25th vs. the run, and a very disappointing 22nd in sacks with 33 on the year. The defense did prove to be rather stingy though, finishing tied at 12th with the Ravens in points allowed, surrendering 21.5 per contest. The Giants defense was also very opportunistic, forcing 35 takeaways on the year, which was good for 3rd in the NFL.

So What do the Giants do with this pick? Osi Umenyiora looks to be leaving, so there will be a hole along the D-line. The LB corps is weak, their current CBs can't stay healthy, the O-line needs some youth, and could use an upgrade at RT. You decide.
