With the eleventh pick in the 2013 NFL Draft the San Diego Chargers select Eric Fisher, OT, CMU.
Next we address the #12 pick in the draft - The Miami Dolphins are on the clock.
#12 Miami Dolphins. Needs - WR, CB, LT. The Dolphins were the opposite of the Bills in 2012. A team no one thought would compete for anything except the 1st pick in the 2013 draft finished a surprising 7-9. They found their franchise QB in Ryan Tannehill. Now they need to find someone for him to throw the ball to. The lack of offensive weapons helped Miami finish 27th in the NFL in scoring, averaging a paltry 18 points per game. They finished 27th in passing, 18th in sacks allowed (37), and 17th in rushing. The defense was respectable again in 2012, ranking 7th in points allowed surrendering 19.8 per game. The defense also finished 7th in the NFL in sacks, amassing 42 on the year. The rush defense was 13th, but the pass defense finished ranked near the bottom of the League at 27th. Poor secondary play was the main culprit. The Dolphins defense was also terrible at creating turnovers, managing only 16 takeaways on the season. The Dolphins need playmakers at WR and CB. Jake Long looks to be done in Miami. Cameron Wake is now in his 30's. You're the GM, what do you do?
