It's been reported that OT Matthews is returning to Texas A&M next year & that he will not be entering this years draft. Well now the big/top 4 OTs in draft just became the top 3. OUCH. What does that do the Rams chances of trying to get a top OT at 16 in the draft? The teams that are supposedly OT hungry this year in the draft are Philly, AZ, Chgrs & Phins all who pick in front of us at 4, 7, 11 & 12 respectively. Philly has lots of needs & may not draft Joeckel as projected. AZ may go QB. Chgrs seem to be a "lock" to go OT. If Miami lets Jake Long walk they are a high risk to go OT, but they could also go WR. Should we roll the dice & hope one of the big 3 fall to us at 16, or try to move up in front of Chgrs & Phins to get an OT? I will post the link below for the source on Matthews.
NEW INFO 1/9/13: Taylor Lewan has announced that he is returning to MI for his senior year. Now another top OT is off the board, making it very unlikely that a top OT will be there for us @ 16. Only Joeckel & Fisher are rated high enough to warrant a pick @ 16. Others would be a reach @ 16. So what now? I will post the link for my source below.
