While I find all of the Mocks being done entertaining, I'm going to with hold any predictions until later in the year when there is a clearer picture of what players are going to be available and what the final draft order will be. In the mean time, one thing we can discuss is what the Rams should do with their own Free Agents. Here are my thoughts.
Restricted Free Agents
LB Justin Cole RFA - Re-Sign - good depth at OLB and Special Teams
FS Darian Stewart RFA - Re-Sign - has potential to start and is a good special teams player
Exclusive Rights Free Agents
TE Mike McNeill ERFA - Re-Sign - young player with potential to develop into a contributor
DL Jermelle Cudjo ERFA - Re-Sign - Cudjo had a great year as a rotation guy on and provides solid depth at DT
Unrestricted Free Agents
QB Kellen Clemens UFA - Release - Davis showed positives in the PreSeason and they could find a cheaper alternative
WR Danny Amendola UFA - Re-Sign - top WR on the team but I hope they don't over pay
WR Brandon Gibson UFA - Release - inability to stay consistent and lack of the big play makes him expendable
WR Steve E. Smith UFA - Release - wasn't able to find his way on the field with Danny hurt and Quick struggling
OT Barry Richardson UFA - Release - while Richardson was decent RT needs to be upgraded
OT Robert Turner UFA - Re- Sign - a huge part of the success of the team this year and should be the number one OL depth player for the future
OG Chris Williams UFA - Re-Sign - for the right price his potential is worth a roster spot
DL William Hayes UFA - Re-Sign Hayes should win the award for the best FA signing in the NFL
DL Trevor Laws UFA - Re-Sign he hit IR during camp but his potential could be nice for depth
LB Mario Haggan UFA - Release his only real contribution was on special teams and he had penalty issues
LB Rocky McIntosh UFA - Re-Sign While I feel this position needs upgrading McIntosh played well and could be a nice rotation guy
CB Bradley Fletcher UFA - Re-Sign for the right price Fletcher is an outstanding 4th corner
S Craig Dahl UFA - Release Dahl probably won't be in the NFL next season
The biggest name that isn't on this list yet is Steven Jackson. I would expect for him to make his decision by mid February whether he wants to test the FA market or to make a new deal with the Rams. Obviously I think the Rams are a better team with Jackson but at 30 it needs to be at the right price.
**Sorry for the spaced out format...had some weird issues with things lining up right
