1st Round Mock with 7 round Rams draft

I decided to create a 7 round mock draft for the Rams but to make the first round picks I went to many draft sites and other sbnation blogs to look at other team needs and created a whole first round mock. I am predicting only one trade. The Panthers trade the 14th overall pick for the Cowboys 18th pick and a 3rd round pick.

1: Kansas City Chiefs: Geno Smith (QB)

2: Jacksonville Jaguars: Star Lotulelei (DT)

3: Oakland Raiders: Dion Jordan (DE/OLB)

4: Philadelphia Eagles: Luke Jockel (OT)

5: Detroit Lions: Bjoern Werner (DE/OLB)

6: Cleveland Browns: Damontre Moore (DE/OLB)

7: Arizona Cardinals: Tyler Wilson (QB)

8: Buffalo Bills: Mike Glennon (QB)

9: New York Jets: Jarvis Jones(OLB)

10: Tennessee Titans: DeMarcus Milliner (CB)

11: San Diego Chargers: Eric Fisher (OT)

12: Miami Dolphins: Jonathon Hankins (DT)

13: Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jonathon Banks (CB)

14: Dallas Cowboys (from Panthers): Chance Warmack (OG)

15: New Orleans Saints: Ezekial Ansah (DE)

16: St. Louis Rams: Sheldon Richardson (DT/DE)

17: Pittsburgh Steelers: Barkevious Mingo (OLB)

18: Carolina Panthers (from Cowboys): Jesse Williams (DT)

19: New York Giants: Sam Montgomery (DE)

20: Chicago Bears: Manti Te'o (MLB)

21: Cincinnati Bengals: Alec Ogeltree (ILB)

22: St. Louis Rams: Eric Reid (S)

23: Minnesota Vikings: Keenan Allen (WR)

24: Indianapolis Colts: Jonathon Cooper (OG)

25: Baltimore Ravens: Cordarrelle Patterson (WR)

26; Seattle Seahawks: Tyler Effiert (TE)

27: Greenbay Packers: Barret Jones (OG/C)

28: Houstan Texans: Brennan Williams (OT)

29: San Francisco 49ers: Matt Elam (S)

30: New England Patriots: Alex Okafor(DE/OLB)

31: Atlanta Falcons: Zach Ertz (TE)

32: Denver Broncos: Kevin Minter (ILB)

I believe this is a QB driven league and that this year as many years have been, QBs will be over values and drafted early with 3 in the Top 10 picks. This is also a good year for D-linemen with 10 defensive linemen being drafted in the first round. Jarvis Jones drops to 9 because of his Spinal Stenosis. Lastly I have not been as big on Manti Te'o as others have been. He lands in the 20th pick to the Bears because of the rush of picks of QBs and D-Linemen.

Here is my 7 Round Rams Mock Draft

1A) Sheldon Richardson (DT/DE) Missouri

Richardson drops because of character concerns (did not go to class and missed a test, he then missed the makeup test and was suspended a game because of this). He is also still maturing hence the "Old Man Football" comment before the Georgia game. He is although a physical freak. He is 6'4 295 lbs and can run around a 4.6-4.7 forty. He is strong and had a great year in the SEC this year. I think his character concerns will be blown out of proportion and he will drop even after he blows up the combine. Fisher drafted Albert Haynesworth and kept him under control for the most part. I think Fisher can handle a lack of maturity with out much issue.

1B) Eric Reid (S) LSU

Reid I believe is the best safety in the draft and has the highest ceiling. He is a good tackler although he sometimes takes bad angels, our coaching staff can help him. He is a good cover safety but will improve greatly with our secondary and coaching.

2) Oday Aboushi (OT) Virginia

Aboushi has a great amount of talent and will be a great value in the second round. Aboushi can play right tackle and slide over to left tackle if Saffold gets hurt. Paul Boudreau made Wayne hunter and Joe Barksdale look average, imagine what he can do to someone with talent.

3) Da' Rick Rodgers (WR) Tennessee Tech

Here is Bradford's number one receiver. Rodgers has legitimate character concerns which will drop him to the third round. He will be far and away the best player here in the third and Fisher should draft him. Rodgers would be a first round pick but was kicked out of Tennessee for multiple failed drug tests. IF he interviews well and Fisher thinks he can keep him under control then he should be a no brainer pick. If he interviews poorly then Travis Fredrick (OG/C) Wisconsin, is another player we can look at.

4) Michael Buchanan (DE/OLB) Illinois

Buchanan was projected to be a first round pick at the beginning of the year but an awful senior year drops him. Buchanan is very athletic and has a variety of pass rushing moves. He can come in on obvious passing downs and wreck havoc on offenses who focus on stopping the rest of our Dline.

5) Michael Ford (RB) LSU

Our eventual replacement for Jackson. Ford is faster than Jackson but does not have the vision, strength, or size of Jackson, then again not many running backs do. Ford is a between the tackler runner and a timeshare between Ford, Pead, and Richardson could be the best in the league.

6) James Wilson (OG) Florida

A prospect with big upside for Boudreau to work on. He can eventually take over for Dahl when his contract runs out or he retires. He is a better run blocker than pass blocker which works well for what should be a run first offense.

7) DeVonte Holloman (OLB) South Carolina

A project player for defense but could come in and contribute right away on special teams. Bet case scenario he becomes out answer for SLB worse case he comes in and contributes on special teams.

This is my draft what do you think? Obviously i did not answer the immediate problem of a starting SLB but i think we can find a stop gap in Free Agency for cheap or resign one of our own. We mostly play in nickle anyways so it is not as big of a hole as it seems. We also have Sammy Brown who ended up on the gameday roster before the end of the season. Sammy Brown may prove to be the answer. If not I would have no problem drafting CJ Mosely next year and hopefully also grab Austin Seferian Jenkins.
