The Rams should use their two 1st round draft picks to get some speed on the defensive side of the ball. Drafting a sure-tackling free safety with some cover ability would help the defense, as would a quick, hard-hitting OLB.

Some of the top safeties includes Kenny Vaccaro, Texas; Matt Elam, Florida; and Tony Jefferson, Oklahoma. Outside linebackers available include Jarvis Jones, Georgia (probably a top 10 pick); Barkevious Mingo, LSU; and Dion Jordan, Oregon.

The offense can get some help through free agency as well as in later rounds of the draft. Offense brings fans into building. Defense wins championships. The Rams defense is close to being great. Two more top notch starters can put them over the top.
