Sounds Like the ROK Gets the Nod at LG

Listening to an audio segment with Jeff Fisher, Steve Savard, and Demarco Farr over on 101 ESPN. (Its on the front page website, just click on "The Jeff Fisher Show" link).

A caller asked Fisher about the Ojinnaka release and what that entails for the continuity of the line. Fisher goes on to talk about how guys like Saffolf, Richardson, Dahl, and Wells were there from the beginning and even Wells was still in meeting in walk throughs before he actually got on the field.

Couple tidbits. Fisher talked as if Rok was going to get the nod at guard this week. When asked if Turner was in the mix Fisher said yes but went on to mention Turner's value as a backup center and said something to the effect of if you have your center and your backup center in at the same time, your in real trouble if one or especially both goes down. Fisher said Rok has doen an excellent job this preseason and he has liked what Rok has done at both guard positions this preseason.

Reading between the lines I think its obvious Rok is the starting left guard for this week.

Fisher also made an offhand comment that suggested Dahl was ready to go as well.
