The St. Louis Rams will have a familiar face on the roster this week as wide receiver Austin Pettis returns to the fold following the conclusion of his suspension. That will mean a corresponding roster move to free up a spot for Pettis, who did not count against the 53-man roster limit while serving his two-game suspension.

Pettis served the last two games of a four-game suspension he received last season when he violated the league's banned substance policy.

Howard Balzer says that the Rams will likely get a one-day window from the league to make the decision.

As for which move happens to go with Pettis' return, that could depend on the status of some other injuries, most notably at defensive tackle.

Michael Brockers and Matt Conrath have been unable to play, forcing the Rams to carry additional help at the position even while those two are still on the active roster. If one or both is able to play this week, one of the other defensive tackles could go.

I'd say that some offensive line shuffling could happen as well, but with Rodger Saffold's status up in the air, the Rams are limited in what they can do an already thin depth chart.
