St. Louis Rams left tackle Rodger Saffold was a full go for the second day in a row at practice on Friday. Jeff Fisher said that he is officially listed as questionable for the home opener this week. The injury news for the Washington Redskins was a little cloudier, as wide receiver Pierre Garcon is being called a game-time decision.
I'd be willing to bet that both players are on the field this week.
For Saffold, Friday makes it two days in a row that he was a full go at practice. While I was stunned at his recovery, Fisher knew it all along once the MRI machine in Detroit revealed that he did not have some kind of awful spinal injury that would have ... well, that would have been real, real bad.
Saffold might be hard to keep off the field, and the thought of a delicate quarterback situation being protected by Barry Richardson and Wayne Hunter is just downright frightening.
Garcon was a limited participant in practice on Thursday, after sitting out completely on Wednesday. I think Garcon will probably play - Shanahan is cagey about his injury info with players - though I would suspect that his snaps are more limited.
