RGIII locked onto Pierre Garcon early and often as his top receiver in last week's Redskins upset of the New Orleans Saints. Garcon, however, left the game with a foot injury and another, less heralded receiver took over as the top target: Aldrick Robinson.

Robinson was a sixth-round pick by the Redskins last year. He's a smaller receiver, but a speedy one who matches well with Washington's dynamic rookie quarterback. SB Nation's Redskins blog Hogs Haven put Robinson at the top of their list of players to watch among those who don't have a starting role anyway.

Aldrick Robinson, WR: No one is quite sure how healthy starting wide receiver Pierre Garcon is going into St. Louis, which likely means there is a good chance you see a lot of Aldrick Robinson again. Robinson was an afterthought to a lot of Skins fans and farther down the rungs then Leonard Hankerson and Dezmon Briscoe, but all that changed with a four catch, 52 yard performance in New Orleans that included a touchdown. Can this young receiver stay consistent and become a valuable weapon for Robert Griffin III?

The key here is speed. Last week, the Rams secondary had to be conscious of the big play from the otherworldly Calvin Johnson as well as quickish slot guys like Titus Young and Nate Burleson.

It was easy for a veteran quarterback with savvy receivers like Stafford and Megatron and Burleson to find those big 20-yard gaps in the Rams coverage. That's what ate them up on that last Lions scoring drive, as we examined in our breakdown.

Robinson, Garcon, or even RGIII and his wheels will be looking to find those same openings in the Rams defense this week. It will up to the corners and safeties to make sure that doesn't happen.
