The St. Louis Rams are in the process of making roster cuts on Friday morning. Names of the players being cut have not been released, but cornerback Kendric Burney is among the first players to be released. He announced the news via Twitter.

Billy Devaney picked up Burney in the middle of the season last year. The Carolina Panthers originally signed him as an undrafted free agent in the spring of 2011.
A UNC product, it was a minor surprise that Burney went undrafted last year. He is athletic enough that he could catch on somewhere in the league. He is also eligible to be placed on an NFL practice squad. Would the Rams bring him back via that route?
