Why we released Jason Smith

Everyone seems to be pretty pissed off that we released Jason Smith. The arguments are that we did not save much money, that he was improving, and that who we got in return is just as bad or worse. While they are all valid, I think that none of that really matters. What Fisher and CO. were doing was getting rid of a player that has proven to be a detriment to Sam. It is obvious that they feel better with Richardson protecting his right side, so lets get ride of this headache and stop wasting their time trying to develop and get him to be a mediocer player.

I think that is what it really boils down to. The fact that they the saw that Richardson was better, they could get a player that schotty was familiar with and may be able to help, and to generally stop wasting their time with Jason Smith. Essentially they did the same thing with DX, theycut an underperforming player with loads of potential.

Lets belive that Fisher and CO. know what they are doing.
