Daryl Richardson is Making It Hard on Jeff Fisher

After tonight's game Jeff Fisher is going to have some decisions to make.
Yes he has WR problems and O-Line problems, but his hardest topic of interest is at running back. Daryl Richardson is absolutely lighting it up. In the time he's played he's been hitting holes, exploding through them, and then powering through contact. He is looking like Steven Jackson, and I don't just mean by the dreads. Richardson is playing like he's been in the league for years. He shows no nerves and is always hitting the right holes.

On the other side of the spectrum, Pead just doesn't look comfortable. He is spending too much time in the backfield, he looks nervous, can't find holes, and looks afraid of contact. I know he's supposed to end up being a lot better, but he isn't showing it now.

The following video really shows how Richardson finds the hole, hits it hard, and then powers through contact for the needed yards.

Another point of interest is that Richardson got time with the 1st string O. Fisher seems to be open to letting Richardson proving himself. Richardson has shown production and it is being recognized. For a 7th round pick, Richardson is making the most of his NFL experience.

If Pead doesn't pick it up soon I think there is a real possibility that Richardson could end up taking the backup job from Isaiah Pead.
