The St. Louis Rams, all 89 of them, will be on the field Sunday afternoon starting at 3:30 p.m. for the first full squad practice of training camp. Yep, that's right folks, step back from the ledge, football is back. Here are all the details you need to get ready for practice, which is open to the public.
Don't forget, the big TST meetup is Tuesday, August 7, so mark your calendars now. All the info you need for camp is after the jump, from traffic info to position previews.
TST will be following the action on Twitter, so if you're going to practice today, let us know. We'll add you to our training camp practice list for Sunday.
We'll be retweeting folks on the scene as well as using select tweets in updates from practice. That's right, we're crowd-sourcing this thing, so give us a hand.
As for who to follow on Twitter, here is our comprehensive list of Rams players, bloggers and other media people.
Keep an eye on the weather, because if it storms, camp could get moved inside, which means no public viewing.
If you are headed out there today, here's a map to the ContinuityX Training Center, aka Rams Park, in Earth City.
Also note that there is major road work going on around there.
The I-70 bridge over Earth City Expressway schedule will include closures beginning at approximately 7 p.m. on Friday until 5 a.m. on Monday.
Two lanes will be closed in each direction on I-70, and all of the cloverleaf ramps at the interchange will be closed. The ramps include the following: eastbound I-70 exit to Earth City north, westbound I-70 exit to Earth City south, on ramp from Earth City south to eastbound I-70, and on ramp from Earth City north to westbound I-70.
Motorists attending Rams practices or other activities and businesses along Earth City Expressway are encouraged to use Route 370 or Route 364 (Page Avenue) to access the area.
TST is in the middle of rolling out training camp position previews. Here's the list so far, which make for a good primer on who and what to watch for at practice.
If you take photos at practice today, we'd love to see them. Feel free to share a few here, or if you prefer email them to me. I'll make sure you get full credit for them.
Finally, we've got Turf Show Radio ready to go at 6 p.m. Central tonight. Check back for a live link.
