So during this endless boredome we know as the offseason, when there is nothing to watch except baseball, many of the good people at Turf show Times have voiced their opinions on which receiver the Rams will draft in the first round next year. The Rams have a ton of young receivers. The Rams have a ton of young receivers that have had high draft picks spent on them. This handcuffs teams when it comes time to cut players. The Rams have 4 receivers drafted in the last 2 years in the first four rounds of the draft. Now assuming most teams keep 6 receivers, 66% of the Rams receivers are young and vertually uncuttable.

Besides those four we have Danny Amendola, Danario Alexander, and Steve Smith. The oldest among them is 26. So we really need to add another young, and unproven, receiver to our mix? The group is young and does not possess any veteran leadership. No, the Rams will not spend another high pick on receivers this year. The only reason the organization might pick another receiver is if one of our draft picks preforms so terribly that there is rioting int he street and the Rams are forced to cut the player.
