If you do not want to read and just have me give you the answers. I'll try and sum up his conclusions. He states that Givens and Brian Quick are locks. Alright nothing to bold yet. He also says that Steve Smith and Amendola will make the roster, but he is not sure if Amendola is safe on the roster. Now thats a little more daring. He closes out the piece with his thoughts on PEttis and Salas. Salas is tough and can go after the extra yards. He is making the roster. Pettis is suspended the first two games but McIntyre belives he is safe as well. This means that Alexander and Gibson do not make the roster. Thats is a strong claim.
Now I agree with some of the points he makes. Salas, Givens, and Quick will make the roster. Amendola being on shakey ground is false. Steve Smith does have a good chance to make the roster but I do not beleive he is a lock. As to the Alexander vs. Pettis question. I think this will be the hardest decision. Alexander is a playmaker. He is taller and faster than Brian Quick. This is his first season without surgery, and many beleived him worthy of a s2nd round pick if he didn't have knee problems. PEttis was selected in the 3rd round. Pettis is a possesion receiver, Alexander is a playmaker. With Amendola, Salas, and Smith already on the team, do we really need another possesion receiver? Regardless, it is my personal belief the Rams will keep 7 receivers.
And Gibson.......... ya he's gone.
