An undrafted football prospect, Austin Davis was just selected by the Red Sox in the 31st round (#961) as a RH pitcher. Since the signing deadline is 7/13, he isn't a heralded baseball prospect and has a decent chance of becoming the Rams #3 QB, it's unlikely he'll be giving up one helmet for another, however, it is an interesting story of a two sport athlete that, ironically, will very likely pursue the sport fulltime in which he was not drafted.
