I was looking at our defensive roster this morning. We have the potential for some amazing depth at CB. Plus, we do have some physical corners and safeties. The lack of good OLB's on our roster makes me believe that we could have some success with deploying more of a dime package (as our base defense) than running out two sub-par OLB's. Let JL patrol the middle, bring our safeties in close, and let our CB's provide great coverage. This wouldn't work well against power running teams (e.g. Ravens and 49ers). But, I think we would find a lot of success against pass-first teams (the majority of the league). This might not be realistic. But, I thought it would provide good debate material in an otherwise dreary/boring football news day.
