I know some people here on TST are soccer fans. Some of you(myself included) are living outside of the States. Therefore some of you must be watching the Euro cup. And then some of you may have seen England vs Ukraine. I watched this match, and maybe because it was at 2 am, but it just seemed liked this match reflected the St.Louis Rams. Now England won 1-0(aargh!!!) Now I am trusting that all of you know about soccer. Ukraine needed to win this match to get to the next round. Hmmm somewhat like the Rams 7-9 season, right? This match isn't going to be a perfect representation of the Rams, but it is pretty darned close.

Two Legends...... Both still fighting.

Here the Rams are Ukraine and the Rams opposing forces(losing season, injuries, everything against the rams) are England.

Ukraine was before the match not thought very highly off, much like the Rams bad seasons when they first came to St.Louis. But in the match Ukraine absolutely dominated England, much like the Rams 1999-2003 years. In the second have, the domination stopped, with an lucky goal for England( Patriots beating us.... Spygate....). Then a goal that was scored but not given to Ukraine(The Rams last playoff appearance) Then this was followed by bad play which brought Ukraine's ageing legend, who hoped to have one more shot at seeing tournament glory. Hmmm, guy seems like Steven Jackson, ageing, legend, plays for a country not really known for good football, oops, sorry, I mean, soccer players. But It wasn't to be, and They lost a match the could have won, propelling them to greater glory. Somewhat like the Rams having to win against the seahawks to get into the play-offs. All in all, this match may not be just like the Rams couple of seasons, but to me, it seems very close, and kind of made me write this post (that when I read again later, will make feel dumb). Also coincidentally, If you didn't notice by the aaargh after England, I was supporting Ukraine in this match.
