Here are some defensive predictions. The out-side linebacker spots won't be individually predicted, because we don't know who is going to start. Anyway, on to the stats!
Defensive Line( the odd stats from backups isn't counted)
Chris Long DE: 17 sacks, 8 TFL, 45 Tackles, 2 Forced Fumbles.
Robert Quinn DE: 13 sacks, 12 TFL, 39 Tackles, 3 Forced Fumbles, 1 INT(ambitious I know, but possible)
Micheal Brockers DT: 4 Sacks. 10 TFL, 52 Tackles, 2 Forced Fumbles
Kendall Langford DT: 5 Sacks, 12 TFL, 48 Tackles, 1 Forced Fumbles
Why I chose these stats:
With an improved secondary and defensive line, Chris long improves his sack total by about 3-4 sacks, so 17 sacks is easily possible. Robert Quinn showed potential to get to the QB. With teams forced to double team Chris Long and maybe Micheal Brokers(due to his enormous strength) Quinn would find the ideal one-on-one situation, where he excels. Brockers would break the line and push the pocket, and will play a big role this year. Kendall Langford is a good all around type of player, helping the run, and being a serviceable pass rusher as well. Oh, and Quinn could get an INT, with his shear athleticism. Heck, if Ryan Kerrigan and Suh can get one, why not Quinn?
Linebackers
James Laurinitis MLB: 135 Tackles, 13 TFL, 3 Sacks, 3 Forced Fumbles, 3 INT, 2 Fumble Recoveries, 2 TD
Other Linebackers: Together they get: 155 Tackles, 15 TFL, 5 Sacks, 1 Forced Fumble, 2 INT, 3 Fumble Recoveries
Why I chose these stats:
JL55 will be beasting as all ways, just even more so with the improved D-line play. The other 'backers, I suspect will be improved from last year, but until we find a solid, long term option, JL will still be doing most of the work. He gets 2 TDs because I see one of his INT being near the goal line and returned. The other would be a fumble recovery again, near the endzone.
Secondary
Cortland Finnigan CB: 22 Tackles, 5 TFL, 2 Sacks, 1 Forced Fumble, 6 INT, 1 TD
Janoris Jenkins CB: 18 Tackles, 3 TFL, 2 Sacks, 4 INT, 2 TD
Other CBs: 32 Tackles, 3 TFL, 2 Sacks, 2-4 INT, 1 TD
Quinton Mikell FS: 74 Tackles, 2 TFl, 1 Sack, 1 Forced Fumble, 2 INT
Darian Stewart SS: 69 Tackles, 3 TFL, 4 Sacks, 3 INT, 1 TD
Why I chose these stats:
Finnigan will be moved all around the field, so the QB won't know where he is, leading to his high INT total. Jenkins also get a lot of INTs because QB will try to throw at him more, as he is a rookie, and they don't want to tempt Finnigan, Janoris then makes them pay, using his great ball carrier vision and returning skills to get us some TDs. QBs will now go deep to try to exploit Finnigans small stature, and Jenkins inexperience. That's when Stewart strikes, netting him self some INTs. If you noticed, the other CBs section has INTs as 2-4. That really depends who plays the 3rd corner. IF Fletcher does so, then it could more INT, as he has knack for picking off the ball.
Here are my stats, I am sure some of you would have probably better ideas on how the stats need to be, so say so in the comments.
