Those offseason workouts changed some under the new collective bargaining agreement signed last July.
These workouts give coaches the chance to start evaluating players and installing their playbooks. Of course, players are not in full pads, so there is only so much value to be extracted from the workouts. It is still a chance to get some offseason work in before training camp gets started.
These workouts will be especially important for the Rams defense, being led by a group of coaches while Gregg Williams serves his league mandated exile for his role in the New Orleans Saints bounty program.
