The St. Louis Rams hope that Michael Brockers is part of a draft class that sticks around, unlike some recent groups.
At some point in the recent past - the days are all running together for me - I had a post looking at all the positions where the St. Louis Rams could have new starters. On defense, the Rams will have seven new faces in new places. On offense, the total was a little less. Even special teams are impacted by the changes with a new punter and kicker. New coaches and all that jazz ... For more insight into the changes, look no further than the team's recent run of drafting.
| Draft Year | Total Players | Remaining | Starters |
| 2011 | 8 | 4 | 2 |
| 2010 | 11 | 5 | 2 |
| 2009 | 7 | 4 | 2 |
| 2008 | 8 | 1 | 1 |
Yikes. Seven starters from the team's last four draft classes (not included 2012) out of 34 total players. I was sort of amazed to see that 14 players were still on the roster, but that will likely change following training camp this season.
It's worth noting that several starters have been replaced by the new coaching staff, most notably Bradley Fletcher. He is at least still on the roster.
