So the ongoing debate about who the Rams should pick at #6 in this years draft is the most heated and controversial topic since Team Edward or Team Jacob. Whether you're on Blackmon Bandwagon, the "More Protection for Bradford" campaign or the ambiguous Best Player Available side of things, we all have pretty strong Armchair GM opinions. One thing that we can all agree on is that we cannot enter another NFL season with Brandon Gibson as our #1 receiver and one must be targetted relatively early in the draft.
So hypothetically speaking, let's assume that the Rams don't pick a WR in the first round. Also, for the sake of arguement, let's assume that the widely regarded first-round talents Justin Blackmon, Michael Floyd and Kendall Wright are all of the board by the time the Rams are on the clock again. Which wide receiver would you like at #33? The most likely candidates are Alshon "I Should've Come Out Last Year" Jeffery, Stephen "Who Needs Stats When You Run a Fast 40" Hill, Rueben "Damn, I Hope My Pro Quarterback is Better Than Jordan Jefferson" Randle and Mohamed "Why Does Everyone Except Me Get A Witty Nickname?" Sanu. We've discussed each of these players - both good and bad - to the point where we should be able to give their height, weight, 40-times and last year's receiving stats in our sleep.
Like everyone else, I have my opinion. But I won't share that till later. Right now, I want to do what Rex Ryan couldn't do last year and get my finger on the pulse of my TST team.
