I have been visiting patspulpit.com and have come to the conclusion that they are in the market for DE/OLB, Quinton Coples. This will put us is a good position to make a trade and still get an elite talent and add more picks. The Rams could trade the #6 pick to the Pats for their 2 first rounder’s (#27 & #31) and their 3 round pick (#94). I would normally be against this trade but there is a great WR we can have for a 1st round pick..........Mike Wallace. The Rams would get the deep threat WR they are looking for and this guy is proven.
Here is a 4 round mock if the trade went through and we got Wallace.
Round 1 - #27 - Devon Still - DT Penn St.
Was once considered the top DT in the draft. I think we get a steal here at #27.
Round 2 - #33 - Mike Adams - LT Ohio St.
I am a big believer that the Rams need to protect Bradford and have to draft a LT within the first 2 rounds. Has the talent to be one of the best in the draft.
#39 - Kelechi Osemale - G Iowa St.
This is a huge man and can play both guard and tackle. 6'5'' 340 with extremely long arms. He is durable and a complete road-grader. I think Fisher will love him.
Round 3 - #66 - Lavonte David - OLB Nebraska
This guy makes plays all over the field. He is a bit undersized so he will drop this far in the draft. I think he can start from day one.
#94 - Greg Childs - WR Arkansas
Adding more weapons for Bradford will not hurt. Has had some injuries in the past but really shined in his pro day. I think the Rams are in need of a total overhaul at the WR position. Could be a steal.
Round 4 - #96 - Marcus Forston - DT Miami
We need to start adding depth on the defensive side of the ball. Let’s go with a guy who has a lot of talent that just hasn't lived up to it. This doesn't mean he is a bad player, he should just be much better.
If you add in the addition of WR Mike Wallace we came away with a hell of a draft. In the first 4 rounds we addressed the WR position, D-Line, O-Line, and LB. I have done 2 other mocks and it’s impossible to make everyone happy. I want the Rams to draft the O-Line and make Bradford's life better but people wanted Blackmon instead. In this scenario we get that WR and still helped out the O-line. The best of both worlds.
