After the Manning pickup in Mile High and the Vikings attempt to Jedi mind trick everyone interested in this years draft, I wanted to figure out our options. A ton of us think there could be another chance for us to trade down, but how? Others think Blackmon will fall to us at 6, We will get Richardson if he is there, or we will solidify the CB position for the next 5-7 years and grab Claiborne. First thing we have to realize is with the new CBA trades could be more likely. 1st round draft picks are half the price or less now a days. We could possibly see a few more trades, kind of a trend thing, we will see the FOs that have the guts and others will follow.

The Vikings, oh boy.... Well I would assume they are they looking to trade out of the 3 spot, although I do not see this happening. What I do see is Claibornes name in the headlines more. The more we see names like Claiborne, Richardson in a positive way its better for us. This will give teams a sense of urgency to trade up and get them with our #6 pick. With Richardson, who the best player in the draft other than the 2 QBs being there at 6 we could have another chance to trade down. Do we want to take Richardson though? Claiborne will most likely be our guy at 6, but once again he is the best at the position, so I could see someone else wanting to trade up. The only downfall with that is the CB position is pretty deep with 1st and high 2nd round talent.

Blackmon... He seems to be on the tip of every ones tongues here at TST. The kid was very productive in college and I think he will remain to be productive in the league. The truth is he will make a career as a highly rated number 2 WR. Blackmon can get the job done the next couple years because it will take at least that long for teams to realize how much attention they need to put on him on game day. We take him at 6 "IF" he is there. Then in the next couple drafts or in FA we find the true number 1 talent and have 2 great WR in STL once again.

Richardson... He is the key to our draft. If the Browns take him at 4 then yes, I believe Blackmon will fall to us. If the Browns take Blackmon and the Bucs take Richardson then we have Claiborne, who is a great player at 6. Now if neither the Browns or the Bucs grab Richardson then I could see us drafting him or a team willing to trade up. I see big, BIG things in this kids future after his workout.

Miami.... Well they need a QB. Some speculate Tannenhill will not be there at 9. Assuming they want him then I see the #6 spot the perfect place for them to get Him. This is a long shot in my opinion but teams have reached for QBs in the last 3 drafts, so Miami could be afraid of someone trading up or reaching for him. Miami could trade for our pick, Snead threatens to break their hands unless they give us what we want, we move to 9 and get the best player there.
