NFL Free Agents: Eric Winston Is Still In Kansas City, May Not Make It To St. Louis

The St. Louis Rams had been planning on a visit from free agent offensive tackle Eric Winston on Friday. Winston may not get to the other side of the state, not if the Kansas City Chiefs have their way. Winston tweeted in the middle of the day on Friday that the Chiefs took him to lunch at Jack Stack's BBQ in Kansas City.

Winston is the biggest prize among free agent tackles this season. Admittedly, that represents a small market, but he is an above average starter that would dramatically improve the Rams offensive line, filling a need at tackle.

More than a handful of free agents have been inside Rams Park over the two of three days. They have extended invitations to other players.

After the initial 12-hour frenzy, free agency has slowed to a crawl. A few more shoes may drop before the weekend, and next week could be another busy one.
