This is a free agent WR that nobody seems to be talking about, other than potentially Giant's fans... This is mostly due to his injury problems and lack of productivity the past two years (due two years ago to knee surgery and this past year to a large amount of depth at WR in Philly)... But after the jump lets look at why he could make real sense for Blue and Gold.
Before getting injured, Smith broke a Giants franchise record with 107 catches for 1220 yards and 7 touchdowns. When healthy and in the game, he's been about as productive as they come. Now don't get me wrong and think that we should anchor the hope of our passing game on this one guy, but he's definitely a low risk high reward guy that we could potentially pick up for very cheap... Probably at around a 1 year 2.5 mil contract. In my opinion, he would currently be the best player in our receiving corps if he were to join us... oh, and he's SURE HANDED... we haven't heard much about that lately here in the Lou... Thoughts anyone?
