Tennessee Titans free agent cornerback Cortland Finnegan will visit the St. Louis Rams on Friday, according to Adam Schefter at ESPN. It will be Finnegan's first visit in free agency, and an important one for both sides.
Finnegan's name has continued to pop up in relation to the Rams, where he would be reunited with head coach Jeff Fisher. However, Finnegnan's name has not been mentioned in connection with the Rams lately, being linked instead to Tampa Bay and Dallas.
Earlier on Tuesday, it was reported that 49ers free agent cornerback Carlos Rogers was also on the Rams' radar as a potential veteran to bolster their secondary. Just 28, Finnegan is younger than Rogers who turns 31 prior to the 2012 season.
The first visit is always a big one for free agents, but if he leaves Rams Park without a contract on Friday, it hardly means the whole thing is over for the Rams.
