You don't need ELITE players to win. What you need is SOLID players all around.

How many elite players on the Giants' team that won the Superbowl?

We NEED Justin Blackmon ?
Giants did pretty well with Cruz (undrafted), Hakeem Nicks (1-29) and Manningham (3rd rounder).
We NEED Richardson ?
Giants got by with Bradshaw (7th) and Jacobs (4th round).
We NEED Clayborne ?
What about Corey Webster (2nd round) and Aaron Ross (1st-20).
We NEED Kalil (even if we won't get him) ?
Giants LT David Diehl was a 5th round choice!

We have JL55 (who wasn't a blue chip prospect) at MLB when the Giants won the Superbowl with an undrafted LB playing the position (Chase Blackburn).

I didn't check the all roster, but the Giants probably have VERY FEW (Manning is the only one that comes to mind and he is often criticized for not being a Top QB).

What we need is to eliminate the weak links from our roster.
