Ok If you was the Rams GM which trade would you take?

A offer from the Browns 2012 1st rd #4 2nd rd and 3rd rd

or

A Offer from the Redskins 2012 1st rd #6 2nd rd 2013 1st

by Highspeed30 on Feb 7, 2012 4:25 PM CST reply actions

Close call

from a value chart perspective. I would say the offer from the Redskins might be worth a little more but not by much. I would probably do the Cleveland deal though to ensure I could still get Blackmon or Kalil and have an eye into packaging some picks to pick up another first round pick.

by Ramfan from Seattle on Feb 7, 2012 5:36 PM CST up reply actions

The Redskins pick will probably be a top 15 pick next year maybe even top 10, even with Cam Newton Carolina still went 6-10.

there are other WR’s i like later in this draft like Sanu, Toon, Jones, Criner, Fuller all could be had in rds 2-4.

by Highspeed30 on Feb 7, 2012 6:03 PM CST up reply actions

I Would Take The Browns Offer

As a hypothetical Rams GM; I would move down to 4 and take Justin Blackmon. With two picks in both the second and third rounds; other needs could be addressed. I could use the first pick in the second round as a means to get an additional third round pick and possibly a 5th rounder as well.

by ValdezY on Feb 7, 2012 6:28 PM CST up reply actions

I would wait it out.

I would say Blackmon would be a much needed WR presences. But what if we re-sign lloyd? or even vincent jackson…their is a chance we move down take a running back like trent richardson, and grab some picks in the process to get much needed help at CB, OLB, and OL, and then were looking pretty good. This draft is deep so the 2nd round could be just as vauleable as the first. The more picks we can stock pile up the better, and if you trade with washington and get their first and 2nd this year plus a 1st next year your golden. Just a little thought…

by was2234 on Feb 8, 2012 12:37 PM CST up reply actions

I like to gamble

… and would choose the Redskins.

While I expect the Vikings taking Kalil and I prefer OT over WR, Reiff would be my choice at #6.
And I like the sound of getting another 1st rounder next year.

But if the Browns put in 1st rd. #22 instead 2nd rd. #4, the situation will be even closer.

by Mats_DE on Feb 9, 2012 2:29 AM CST up reply actions

Close call but..

Either of these options would do the Rams good. I don’t think you let Cleveland get away with just one of their first round picks. I think Cleveland’s Two first rounders and a 3rd take the deal. I also believe that The redskins offer could turn into another trade down because at Six you start to get into a second wave of players that teams really like. Maybe a Trade with Skins that turns into another trade with a team like Cincinnati.

by Charlie Pankey on Feb 9, 2012 7:45 AM CST up reply actions

I would take the Redskins

The skins are a greater value.

But I might explore a different direction and get more from the browns……What if they took RG3 and take Blackmon also. I believe Cleveland would rather have Bradford. and you can develope this class . Also You probably can get both of Clevelands ones ana first and third next year.

by Michael 636 on Feb 13, 2012 10:10 PM CST up reply actions

Additional Trade option

Hey if the Redskins Trade comes through and I’m at number six, any interest in trading both first round picks to move up to six?

by Charlie Pankey on Feb 9, 2012 6:54 PM CST up reply actions

I have a deal for you Cincinnati

Since your #2 WR is about to be sent to prison on a drug bust, and teams will be game-planning A.J. Green. How would you like a chance at Justin Blackmon? Green and Blackmon would be one of the best WR tandems in the NFL next season.
Having just secured the Viking pick at #3, the Denver Broncos would like to trade with you for your two first round picks and a 3rd round pick this year, and second round pick next year.

Who the hell are you going to pick at 3?

Broncos don’t need O-line, maybe Blackmon?? But I really don’t think they need much WR help and I don’t think Blackmon’s that good. Claiborne? Didn’t need to trade up to 3 for him.

What would you say about

This year’s 1st round pick (13), next year’s 3rd and 6th round picks, along with Charles Tillman?
It seems like the Broncos could use a bit of help at CB, pair him up with Champ Bailey and maybe a CB to groom and you’d be set for at least 3 years.
