Mock Drafts
I love reading what people think the Rams will do in the Draft or the offseason. Quite honestly many of the fsans ideas are pretty good. But let's be honest. The Rams will make picks some will leave us scratching our heads. I just hope they don't go after a kicker in the first round. I have often caught myself pondering about what the Rams should do with their first pick. Like many I feel they should trade down, and gain more picks. To me it's a toss up between Blackmon, and Kalil. Sure in a perfect world, the Rams would pick them both. I am a bit worried about selecting an O-Lineman in the first Round. I just don't recall too many times the Rams have had success with that route. Yes Orlando Pace was the first Pick.. I think it would make more sense to acquire an Offensive Tackle through Free Agency. You're adding Experience and could be more economical. Let's say we do make a trade with Cleaveland for their 2 first round picks. the 6th and 22nd. Hopefully Blackmon is available by the sixth pick if not I wouldn't mind them picking up Trent Richardson at RB or MorrisClaiborne at CB. Both a major need for the Rams. Now on to the 22nd pick. How about we trade with the Giants for the 29th pick. along with the 29th pick we'd pick the Giants 2nd and 4th round picks. With the 29th pick the Rams pick Defensive tackle Dontari Poe. First pick of the 2nd round The Rams choose Zach Brown OLB. I will continue on with mock draft once i do more research. I would love some input. Let me know what you think. Thanks

if blackmon isnt there at 6
I’d choose rieff or Richardson. Zach brown is a great 2nd round pick if he lasts to there.
Kalil is the top prospectively since J Long...
and a FA franchise LT cost 3 times what Kalil will. Browns have the #4 and #22 so Blackmon would most likely be there at #4. Luck, RGIII, Kalil, then Blackmon to Rams. Zach Brown is a steal at #33 imo. Keep em com

I think the drop off in talent from the first round to second round is a lot steeper at the OT position.
All indications to me point towards the Rams taking a tackle in the first round. If they keep the 2nd pick, they take Matt Kalil. If they trade down with Washington, they take Riley Reiff.
The other positions of need are backup running back, #1 wide receiver, OG, C, DT, OLB (x2) and maybe some secondary help. There is enough depth at those positions to wait until rounds 2-4.
I am really hoping that they can work some deals to trade down in the 1st round to get additional day two picks and I would not mind seeing them trade up from the 6th and 7th rounds to get an additional 4th rounder and into the 5th round. It seems like over the past few years, anyone we draft after the 5th round is a throwaway pick. Why not put ourselves in a position to take at least one more impact player on day three?
I'm suffering from an extreme case of laurinaitis!
First off, Cleveland has the 4th & 22nd picks in the first round.
Second, giving up two 1st round picks to move up two spots is way too much to even realistically think about.
Third, Clevelands front office is filled full of retards, the most you could hope for on a trade up from them would be a 2nd rounder and if they were extra generous an additional 4th. Let me tell you, it won’t happen.
A bargain is something you don't need at a price you can't resist....
If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong!
My mother never saw the irony in calling me a son-of-a-bitch!
Even if
Cleveland makes that deal, why would the Giants give up a 2nd and 4th to move up 7 spots? For who?
my bad
The Giants are not picking till 32 so that would be 10 spots.
