On February 3rd, Rams signed Jovan Olafioye to a two year deal, with Olafioye reported to make close to six figures. Olafioye was an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina Central, who was cut by the Detriot Lions in training camp and headed north to the CFL. He played two years in the CFL, and is only 24. Olafioye was an all star in the CFL in 2011, and was a finalist for the league's most outstanding lineman award, finishing second. The 6-6, 325-pound lineman worked out for or visited 15 teams in the past six weeks. He started at RT for the B.C. Lions, but has played both tackle spots.
Olafioye is a low cost signing with some upside, and at a position of need. He is expected to compete for a roster spot in training camp.
