There is hope on the horizon with this new All Star coaching staff and the value of the number two pick climbing. The value of this pick is going to be better then anyone thinks. A friend of mine is diehard Skins fan who doesn't want them to trade for the second pick. He has come to the realization that this may happened and we talked about what the value of this pick.
To get a Franchise type QB cost a lot. Any team that wants RGIII will have to trade the house. The question is who will have the bigger house to give. For the Skins to move up 4 spots I asked him if he would be OK with the skins trading their 1st, 2nd and 3rd round pick and next years 1st and 2nd round picks. He honestly said that he thought it would cost them more. Since the Browns have the most to offer with 2 first round picks, I am going to assume that they will have the better package to offer the Rams. Its going to cost the Browns both first round picks, their 2nd, 3rd round picks and the 2nd round pick in 2013.
I have added a 4 round mock to go along with the trade. They way I mocked this draft will save the Rams some money for them to go and get some free agents. So here we go.
#4 - Riley Reiff - OT
Riley is the second best Tackle in the draft and the Rams need to protect Bradford. The Rams may get lucky and get Matt Kalil.
#22 - David Decastro -G
Decastro may not last this long because he is a stud. I think he will slip to the Rams because teams just have other needs to be addressed and guards going high in the first round just don't happen that often.
#33 - Zach Brown -OLB
Brown is a top 25 talent that drops because OLB is not on the top of many 4-3 D needs.
#37 - Mohamed Sanu - WR
The Rams need better WR's. Sanu has the potential to be a #1 WR and that's why we take him.
#66 - LaMichael James - RB
James gives the Rams something they haven't had in a long time. This guy is a home run threat every time he touches the ball. Jackson and James will make a great duo.
#68 - Jerel Worthy - DT
He has really slipped in this draft. Came to the combine out of shape and it showed with poor results. He has potential to be great and he fills a need.
#96 - Joe Adams - WR
Adams came in to the combine and just killed it. He gives the Rams a KR and maybe some kind of deep threat in the passing game.
I understand drafting two offensive linemen is not sexy but I thing this would be the correct move. Bradford is the franchise and he needs to be protected. Drafting a WR in the first round will not help the team if Bradford doesn't have the time to get him the ball. We can go and try to get a #1 WR in free agency. If we can pick up a DT (Jason Jones), WR (Dwayne Bowe), and a DB (Cortland Finnegan) we would have filled a lot of holes in one off season. Lets just all hope that RGIII keeps killing it.
