The consensus of fan opinion has gelled around the St. Louis Rams trading down from their second overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. After Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III measured in over 6'2" that possibility looks even more likely. However, should the Rams stay with the second pick, fans could quickly take a liking to USC offensive tackle Matt Kalil.
One of the more appealing aspects of Kalil, something missing from the Rams' last two attempts to draft a cornerstone left tackle in the first round, is his demeanor on the field.
"I think I'm an aggressive player," Kalil said in his Thursday Combine availability. "I definitely like to finish, from the snap to the whistle and like I said impose my will on my opponent and basically let them know that I'm on the field and I'm going to be on the field for the rest of the game."
Imagine him on the same line with Harvey Dahl. That kind of aggressive play from the front five would fit nicely with Jeff Fisher's team.
