'Skins or Fins Might Work Out as Well
So far, I 've been in love with trading down to the Browns and getting a few of their round 1 and 2 picks. I'm starting to think we might be o.k. if we end up trading with the 'Skins or the Fins. If we can load up ove the next 2 years with high round draft picks, this could be our version of the early 1990's Cowboys. The Herschel Walker trade allowed them to draft both skill and line players that helped them dominate for close to a decade. Here's what a trade with the Dolphins might make our draft look like:
The first version gives us Brandon Marshall and their 1st and 3rd this year and their 2 and 4 next year.
Our draft would look like this: 1=Decastro, G Stanford 2= Zach Brown, OLB N. Car. 3A= Trumain Johnson, CB Mont. 3B= Mitchell Schwartz, OT Cal. 4=Isiah Pead, RB Cinc. 6= N. Jean-Baptiste, DT Baylor 7=Chris Rainey, RB/ST Florida.
We've been focusing so much on Kalil and Blackmon that I thought we should take a look at David DeCastro as the next 10 year dominant interior lineman. If we add Mitchell Schwartz from Cal. who I think is undervalued even after moving him up because of his senior bowl performances, we might have just the right additions this year and have alook at another top shelf OL next year.
Sam has excelled at throwing the ball to the sidelines up high--look at DX when he's been healthy--he's made a ton of those catches over shorter CB personnel. B. Marshall would be a perfect fit for him.

Sorry about the Typos.
I posted before I checked. Oops.
so youre saying...
the dolphins would move brandon marshall and 4 picks (including their 1st this year) for the rams 1st pick?
jesus that would be awesome
Seems like way too many draft picks
RGIII isn’t Luck, but who knows. I did throw up the idea of the first and Marshall for our first so I’d like that. Third would be icing on the cake. Not sure about your number one pick. Overall though it’d be nice. I’m just tired of seeing offensive lineman in the first three picks, so it we get one it better be someone who’s going to last a decade.
I'm assuming this is based on the Phins moving up to take RG3
which is weird because then they’ll have both RG3 and Flynn
To me that's Plan B if I were the rams
If the rams decide to trade down with the fins, the fins have include Brandon Marshall in the deal plus more picks.
ok
so the rams do trade down with the dolphins….while i think your take in the trade is lofty, looking at it as a less lofty deal; say the dolphins send marshall, rd1, and say a rd 3. (thats not asking too much) and consider the rams have resigned lloyd. so they are pretty set there.
they could still land an OT at 1.8 in Martin, though i still like Decastro thats just too high for a guard. i think the rams look to trade down with a team targeting Trent Richardson. Cincinatti has two in the 1st round as well. so drop down to 17 and add another 2nd.
so the rams would be looking at 17, 33, 53, 66, 73, 96 (in the first 4 rounds). while adding a stud wr in brandon marshall. or you could look at it as they got marshall, and 17th, 53rd, 73rd picks for just the 2nd overall pick.
Martin and Reiff
seem more like projects while Kalil and DeCastro are NFL ready IMO. It still a great idea to trade down if we can get DeCastro. We have been so catastrophic at the end of the draft, I afraid to take anything later than a 4th rounder as a positive idea in St. Ramberg.
I'd like Dacastro
maybe new coaches across the board can fix what we’re used to though.
