So i will be doing these periodically, I have a lot of time during the day and a lot of it is spent researching the draft. I am going to throw another interesting mock together, let me know what you think. In this scenario the Browns give us #4, #22 and their second rounder for our 2nd and Brandon Gibson, figured I would just throw him in there. So on to the picks. BTW remember this is all hypothetical.
Round 1 #4- Matt Kalil- in this scenario the #3 pick is traded to Carolina to acquire Justin Blackmon who will shock everyone and run a 4.44 and be a sure fire top 5 pick. so we get Kalil and we get extra picks, seriously a win win.
Round 1 #22- Mohammed Sanu- Damn we need wide outs, so I figure this guy has a boatload of potential so lets role the dice at 22 where I think need meets value with Sanu.
Round 2 #33-David Wilson-Alot of people have Zach Brown going here but I really think he will be gone in the 1st, so I give Sam another weapon, David Wilson, but with the disclaimer that if Brown is available he should be a lock.
Round 2 #37- Lavante David- Solid Weakside linebacker should help JL and bring some Athletisism to the Linebackers. I have to put another disclaimer here cause if Brown is available and we take him we won't go OLB back to back so this pick would be Doug Martin out of Boise if we were able to land brown.
round 3- Kevin Zeitler, Add to that o line, would be solid with, Saffold at right, Dahl at r guard, Center? who knows, Zeitler and Kalil.
round 4- Billy Winn- DT from Boise, they have produced some pretty solid players of late.
no pick round 5
round 6- Omar Bolden, Early round talent Injuries make him slide, its a sixth round pick you can role the dice on a player with upside because hitting on a 6th rounder is not easy.
round 7- Darius Flemming OLB Notre Dame, seventh round, at the least he can contribute on special teams
